CAMPO: Recognized as one of the 10 best Latino albums of 2012 by NPR, Sounds and Colours Magazine and Al Borde and Radio Toxiko, CAMPO continues to garner international attention, expanding his universe. The debut album of a collective effort lead by Juan Campodónico, a visionary Uruguayan producer and musician, was recently nominated for the Grammy Awards in the “Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album” category. Produced by Campódonico and the reknown producer, Grammy and Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla, the album has earned them excellent reviews and has also been nominated for the Premios Graffitti of Uruguay, the MTV-EMA awards and the Latin Grammy with the track “1987“, sung by Jorge Drexler and one of the 10 best videos of 2012 as chosen by Remezcla. Lots of good news and excellent reviews for a really good album that has been produced very well.
Campo will attend the Grammy ceremony on February 10 in Los Angeles, and his live performance at this year’s SXSW Conference in Austin, TX, has been confirmed.
